Ideas That Change The World Symposium

Featuring 75+ of Trent's brightest minds, featured in panel discussions, organized in 5 themes.

The 2-day Ideas That Change the World Symposium 2014 will bring together distinguished leaders, educators and researchers in a wide variety of fields to present provocative ideas in 5 different themes/streams:

  1. Critical Cultural Inquiry
  2. Education
  3. Sustainability & Environment
  4. Life and Health
  5. Indigenous Peoples in Canada

Participants will select one theme to participate in and will have the opportunity to hear up to 15 different speakers on three different panel topics. Presenters include Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr. James Orbinski ’80; Hong Kong real estate mogul, Justin Chiu ’76 and opening keynote from Trent Chancellor and alumnus Don Tapscott ’66.
