The Stairs Lecture in Chemistry celebrates Trent's 50th Anniversary with a lecture by celebrated Trent Alumnus, Barbara Finlayson-Pitts.

A Professor of Chemistry and UCI Distinguished Professor, Dr. Finlayson-Pitts brings expertise in laboratory experiments and a broad background in atmospheric chemistry. She has been Director of the AirUCI Institute, initially funded by the National Science Foundation, since its inception in 2004. Dr. Finlayson-Pitts is the recipient of a number of national awards in the U.S., including the American Chemical Society Award for Creative Advances in Environmental Science & Technology.
