Convocation is the ceremony for the conferral of degrees and diplomas, with traditions rooted in the thirteenth century. It celebrates every student’s academic accomplishments in the setting of the University community.

*New* Guest Limit

 Trent's Convocation ceremonies are held OUTDOORS in good weather. There is very little shade on the outdoor venue, so please come prepared with a hat, water, and sunscreen for sun protection. There is no guest limit outdoors.

If there is rain or inclement weather, the ceremonies will move indoors to the Gym in the Athletics Centre.

IF the ceremonies move indoors, guests will be limited to 4 per graduate.  Additional guests are welcome to watch the ceremony live in additional viewing locations in the classrooms of Lady Eaton College, Bata Library Film Theatre Room 103, and Champlain College Lecture Hall Room 307.

This allows all graduates to have some guests attend the ceremony in person in the Gym, so please respect your fellow graduates by following the limit.
