El Pais, the leading Spanish speaking newspaper in Spain, published an article by Dr. Antonio Cazorla-Sanchez, Trent University professor from the Department of History, on January 30, 2012.

Professor Cazorla-Sanchez’s article entitled  La socialdemocracia perdida, otra vez, is an analysis of the current European crisis in social democracy. Prof. Cazorla-Sanchez argues that during the last twenty years, the left was seduced by the superficial success of cheap money and economic liberalization polices. He argues that now these policies have come back to haunt Europe, challenging both social cohesion and stable economic growth.
