Trent Student Heading to Pan Am Games Swimming Trials

Trent athletes continued to shine in the pool this past weekend at the OUA Championships with impressive performances by the men’s varsity swim team.
Scott Farrow won a gold medal in the 50 metre butt erfly and took silver in the 100 metre butterfly. He also placed fourth in the 50 metre freestyle. With these results Mr. Farrow made the senior national standards and qualified for the PanAm Games trials taking place in March in Victoria, B.C.
Other strong Trent performances included Anthony Ferri, who raced in the consolation finals for the 50 metre freestyle, placing 12th overall in this event. Trent swimmer Matt White also made the consolation finals in the 50 met re and 100 metre backstroke, placing 10th and 13th respectively overall. These racing results qualify Mr. White for the Eastern Canadian Championships in Montreal.
