Over 30 New Professors Join Trent this Fall

Trent University has hired 30 new professors to its Faculty of Arts and Science this year.

Ranging in experience and specialization, these faculty members come to Trent with distinguished academic careers and exciting research interests. They will join departments such as Modern Languages, Ancient History and Classics, Geography, Nursing, Biology, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Cultural Studies, History, English, Mathematics, Chemistry and Canadian Studies.

"I am delighted to be welcoming so many new faculty members to Trent this autumn," says Acting Dean of Arts and Science Christine McKinnon. "They represent part of Trent's plan for faculty renewal and growth. We are fortunate to have these first-rate faculty join our ranks, and I look forward to helping them settle into Trent."

To highlight the calibre of new professors joining Trent, an advertising campaign has been launched. Print advertisements profile new faculty members in publications throughout the region. The headline for each ad proclaims "another great mind comes to Trent," reflecting the expanding pool of knowledge among faculty members at the University.
