New Web Developer

Maureen Wideman, Trent's first full-time Web Developer, began work in the Communications Department on Nov. 9.

Wideman has more than 16 years of experience in business communications and marketing. She has a BA in Journalism from Ryerson and an MA from Trent in Canadian Heritage and Development Studies. Wideman has worked previously in Fleming College's Communications Department and upgraded her Web skills at Centennial College.

She will be responsible for developing and maintaining the official pages of the Trent Web site (www.trentu.ca) including the Academic Calendar online and other admissions information, general information about the university and notices, capital campaign updates, and providing extensive service to the alumni association pages as that organization updates its Web image. Trent Report is also located on the Web site.

Wideman and other members of the Communications Department will soon move to Bata Library's ground floor, adjacent to the Riverside Offices, from office space in Blackburn Hall. She can be reached by e-mail at mwideman@trentu.ca or by phone at 748-1214.
