Bookstore holds special events this season

The Trent University Bookstore, 224 Charlotte Street, will remain in that location downtown and not be moving earlier than May, according to Vice-President Administration Sally Young. The store is scheduled to be moved to the Symons Campus as part of the restructuring required to meet University budget constraints and to better serve the University community.

On Nov. 28, author Bill Boyd of Lakefield will be at the store at 2 p.m. to autograph copies of his book Hockey Towns.

Invitations have been sent for a Staff and Faculty Appreciation Day on Nov. 30 from 5 - 10 p.m. Trent employees will receive a 25 per cent discount that evening on all merchandise but textbooks and software.

And on Dec. 11, as part of the Downtown Business Improvement Area's midnight madness event, the store will be open till 10 p.m. and all shoppers will be entitled to a 10 per cent discount, again excluding software and textbooks.

Extended weekday hours begin Dec. 14 for the two weeks before Christmas, with the store open till 8 p.m.

January 11, 12 and 13, 1999 there will be a student textbook buy-back at the store downtown from 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
