New director of Physical Resources

The former Director and Chief Building Official for the City of Scarborough's Planning and Buildings Department begins Dec.1 as Director of Physical Resources.

Bernhart Roth had a 17-year municipal career with the City of Scarborough, worked as Director of Research for the Housing & Urban Development Association of Canada (hudac) and has held executive positions with Domtar Construction Materials Inc., the Construction Industry Development Council and the Ontario Ministry of Industry and Tourism.

Roth has a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, has taught community college courses and has chaired or served on advisory committees for other educational institutions, including Durham College.
