Millennium celebration has international involvement

Trent International students will take part in the City of Peterborough's celebration of Diversity in the Millennium.

Huda Al-Haddad of Chemistry, former president of the Peterborough Multicultural Association, says a week-long celebration will be held in January, concluding with a cultural program at Wenjack Theatre, featuring the local multicultural community and the international students.

The week begins with a food fair at the Evinrude Centre on Jan. 22, the day after a party to celebrate the City of Peterborough's 150th birthday. Different cultural groups and Trent students will participate. Lectures will be held during the week at Trent, and in the community, on the topic "Diversity in the Millennium."
