Electronic postcards from Trent

Trent's Communications Department has developed free, electronic postcards intended to showcase Trent and increase visitors to the university's Web site.

Similar to standard postcards, the sender simply fills in the recipient's e-mail address, types in a message and pushes "send." The recipient receives an e-mail to collect the postcard on the Trent Web site. There are currently five postcard images to choose from.

Because the postcards are located on Trent's Web site, they are available to anyone with Internet access. "If you are on the Web, you can use our postcards," says Web developer Maureen Wideman. "Trent and Peterborough community members can send a photo of Trent to friends, relatives or prospective students around the world."
