Trent International Program hosts lecture series

The Trent International Program/International Student Association is holding a World Affairs Colloquium on the topic "Other People's Wars: Can Outsiders Bring Peace?" Lectures remaining in this winter term series are:

  • February 9, Lady Eaton College (LEC) lecture hall, 7:30 p.m. with Sandra Whitworth, York University: "Warrior Princes and the Politics of Peacekeeping: A Feminist Analysis"
  • March 3, LEC Pit, 3:30 p.m., with Tim Miller, McMaster Medical School Peace Research Group, "The psychological and physical health impact on children living under conditions of armed conflict in the Gaza Strip"
  • March 10, LEC Pit, 3:30 p.m., Jacqueline Solway, Trent, "Reaching the Limits of Universal Citizenship: 'Minority' Struggles in Botswana"
  • March 17, LEC Pit, 3:30 p.m., Mark Neufeld, Trent, "Poor Relief and Global Riot Control: Canadian Foreign Policy in a Global(izing) Context."
