Hall of Fame!

Trent University's Director of Athletics and Recreation, Paul Wilson, will be inducted into the Peterborough Sports Hall of Fame. An employee of Trent University for 36 years, Paul will be honoured as an Athlete and Builder at a ceremony to be held June 7th at the Evinrude Centre. Paul is one of the most experienced and established Athletic Directors in the province as well as a leader among Trent staff and a loyal ambassador and promoter of Trent University.

An athlete and promoter of all sport, Paul is most notably involved with squash, rugby and cricket. He established the first squash facilities in the community at Trent University. Paul has supported the growth of rugby at the high school and university levels and in community leagues. As a referee, tournament organizer, and official at schools throughout the region, Paul has contributed countless volunteer hours.

Trent has also honoured Paul's contributions through the recent creation of the PSB Wilson Fund. The fund was set up in appreciation and acknowledgement of Paul's 36-year commitment to Trent. With a goal of $100,000, the permanent endowment fund will be used to strengthen facilities and equipment at Trent's Athletics Complex. Paul Wilson will retire from Trent in September 2002.
