Trent Athletes of the Week

Trent University is proud to announce that Eli Adansi is the RILEY'S-JUNCTION Male Athlete of the Week for the week of October 11th. Eli is a midfielder on the Trent soccer team. Eli scored the opening goal for Trent in a 6-2 loss to Queen's University. Eli hails from Markham, Ontario and is a 1st year Cultural studies student.

Trent University is proud to announce that Sarah Pieper is the RILEY'S JUNCTION Female Athlete of the Week for the week of October 11th. Sarah is a scrum half on the rugby team. Sarah's strong play throughout the season has helped establish Trent's presence in every game. Sarah hails from Barrie, Ontario and is a 2nd year Biology student.

Trent Men's Soccer

The Trent University men's soccer team lost to Queen's University by a score of 6-2, Friday October 8th. The game was tied 1-1 at the half. "We were playing without a couple of our top players," said Head Coach Claude Bolton. "We played a very good first half, then we had some bad bounces in the second half, that cost us on the scoreboard." Scoring for Trent was freshmen Wade Washington, and Eli Adansi. Trent travels to Carleton University Saturday, October 16th.

Trent Men's Rugby

The Trent University men's rugby team lost to the Windsor Lancers by a score of 30-13, Saturday, October 9th. Scoring for Trent was freshman Brian Hall with two tries, and Mike Moore with a penalty goal. Trent's next game is at Wilfrid Laurier, Saturday, October 16th.

Trent Women's Rugby

The Trent University women's rugby team lost to the McMaster by a score of 12-5, Friday, October 8th. Scoring the lone try for Trent was Erin Awe. "We played a good game," said Head Coach Nancy Marcotte. "All of our games have been close, we could very easily have won all of our games this season." Trent's next game is at Wilfrid Laurier, Saturday, October 16th.

Trent Women's Soccer

The Trent University women's soccer team lost to Queen's University by a score of 6-0, Friday October 8th. Trent travels to Carleton University Saturday, October 16th.
