Authority on International Management and Organizational Theory to Speak at Trent

Professor Rosalie Tung will Address the Role of Gender in International Assignments during March 31 Public Talk

Monday, March 27, 2006, Peterborough

Professor Rosalie Tung, a world-renowned expert on international management and organizational theory, will deliver a free, public talk at Trent University on Friday, March 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Science Complex (SC), Room 137 on the Symons campus.

During her talk, entitled "The Role of Gender in International Assignments", Professor Tung will address the gender differences in expatriate assignments. Her work in this area is among the top five most cited in the world.

Professor Tung is currently a Professor of International Business at Simon Fraser University, where she holds the Ming and Stella Wong Chaired Professorship. She is also the past President of the Academy of Management, an association of 15,000 management professors worldwide, and an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, the Academy of Management, and the Academy of International Business.

Author or editor of 11 books, including the IEBM Handbook of International Business, Professor Tung has also been published widely in many journals and leading national and international newspapers and news magazines such as Business Week and the Wall Street Journal.
