Highs and Lows of Stock Market Explored in Talk by Peter Brieger |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Tuesday, November 22, 2005 Report on Business TV commentator and Trent Board of Governor member Peter Brieger will present a whimsical reflection on the ups and downs of the stock market through the ages in a special lecture open to the public and Trent students. "Clear or Stoney? The Markets – not the lakes" will provide a light hearted romp through the ages with a historical overview of trade and business ethics – from medieval times to Enron. Brieger will also review current choices investors have, key issues today and possible outcomes. Date: Wednesday, November 30, 2005 Time: 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Place: Bata Library Film Theatre (ground floor, enter through main doors by bus loop). Free admission. Everyone welcome. Peter Brieger is Chairman, CIO and a Director of GlobeInvest Capital Management Inc. He is an H.B.A. graduate of the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst's designation, and is a member of the Institute for Research on Public Policy.
