March Break Open House: Trent's Time to Shine

Come see all that Trent has to offer, March 15 & 16

Wednesday, March 2, 2005, Peterborough

Opportunities to talk to professors, find out about residence and tour the campus are all part of March Break at Trent University. The March Break Open House on March 15 and 16 will see prospective students and their families come to campus to learn about the University, its 27 academic departments, state-of-the-art facilities, array of academic programs and wealth of student services.

For the hundreds of visitors to Trent, faculty, staff members and students will be on hand to provide tours and share their perspectives on the Trent University experience - high quality programs, faculty who connect with students and a campus of unparalleled beauty. New to this year's Open House agenda is the Student Voice Forum, from 1:30 - 2:15 p.m. both days in the Athletic Complex. Prospective students will have the opportunity to hear from a panel of current students on an array of topics including athletics, residence, student government and study abroad.

Each day is scheduled to kick off with an Information Forum and Academic Fair in the Athletics Complex at 9 a.m. There, representatives from departments and academic services will be on-hand. Specific information sessions for some academic departments are also scheduled (see agenda). Later on, at the Clubs and Groups Fair, prospective students will be able to meet representatives from campus clubs and groups and learn about their activities.

"In just one day, prospective students and their families can get a good sense of what the Trent experience is all about," says Registrar Susan Salusbury. "The March Break Open House provides opportunities to learn about what Trent really has to offer and to meet the students, staff and faculty who make it so uniquely special."

Those planning to attend the Open House are asked to RSVP to liaison@trentu.ca or 748-1332.
