ALISTAIR MacLEOD FEATURED GUEST AT FRIENDS OF THE BATA LIBRARY EVENT

Internationally acclaimed author Alistair MacLeod, Trent University’s 2002/03 Ashley Fellow, will speak to the Friends of the Bata Library group on Wednesday, February 5, at 8 p.m.

The Friends of the Bata Library is an association dedicated to cultivating interest in all aspects of the Bata Library and its resources. Founded in 1978, it raises funds for special library purchases and other library needs, and holds regular meetings that feature readings and presentations by authors, historians and other engaging speakers.

This meeting of the Friends will be held at the Lady Eaton College Lecture Hall and is open to all members of the group, as well as anyone who is interested in learning more about the association.

Friends of the Bata Library memberships start at $10 per person, which includes all of the regular readings and presentations during the academic year. An annual fundraising dinner is also held in the spring, and features a prominent writer.
