Pledges reach 89 per cent
Trent's United Way campaign needs only $5,440 to reach its $51,000 goal.

        By Oct. 30, 218 donors had pledged $45,560. Pledges were still coming in although the official three-week campaign had ended Oct. 17.

        Campaign co-chairs James Neufeld and Jim Riva are appealing to the Trent community to help meet Trent's 1997 target.
