Trent launches its second major fund-raising campaign next spring. It aims to raise $17 million.

        For what?

        For scholarships and bursaries, teaching technology, research infrastructure, community-oriented programs and facilities (such as the nature areas), and campus renewal. A fund-raising committee has listed these five categories as priorities and wants to hear what the university community thinks. It plans to publish the list -- with more details -- in mid-November then hold open forums throughout the university:

• Nov. 19 at Traill College dining hall, 7:30 p.m
• Nov. 23 with the Trent Central Student Association in the Smith Conference Room, Bata Library, 2 p.m.
• Nov. 24 in Otonabee College 203 lecture hall, 4:30 p.m.
• Nov. 25 in Peter Robinson College dining hall, 7:30 p.m.
