Trent Co-Sponsors Pandemic Planning Session

On Thursday, May 25 Trent University hosted and co-sponsored a Pandemic Planning Session for health care workers, administrative staff, and teachers in the health care field.

The session, which aimed to help those responsible for developing a pandemic plan get a better handle on the situation the world is dealing with, featured a talk by Dr. Mary Vearncombe, Medical Director, Infection Control and Prevention at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. Dr. Vearncombe is an expert on pandemic planning. Dr. Garry Humphreys, Medical Officer of Health for the Peterborough County-City Health Unit, also participated in the session.

Trent University's Institute of Health Studies co-sponsored the session in cooperation with the Peterborough County Public Health Unit.
