Photo 2: Tamarin Falls, Mauritius by Heather MacArthur (third place in Places category)The photos were on display in the Bata Library showcase during International Education Week (November 14 -18, 2005). Students, faculty and staff responded enthusiastically to the display, which represented the breadth and depth of study abroad programming at Trent.

The photos depicted student experiences from the tourist to the spiritual, from the adventurous to the awe-inspiring, and demonstrated learning across the curriculum.

According to TIP, study abroad can be a transformative experience. The photos demonstrate that study abroad can mean many different things for the diversity of students who participate in Trent programs overseas.

TIP would like to offer congratulations, on behalf of the Trent community, to these students who are able to share their Trent learning from afar with the entire campus community.

Photo 3: La Mer by Mark Bailey (Honourable Mention)The winning photos can be viewed on the TIP web site at: www.trentu.ca/tip (Photo Gallery).  All of the contest photos will be available on the web site to view next week.
