Reading by Professor Emeritus Peter Royle

Join Trent University Professor Emeritus Peter Royle for a reading at Titles Book Store at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2005.

Prof. Royle will give a brief reading from Extracts from the Diary of a Princess, which he collated. The reading will be followed by a book signing.

Prof. Royle is a professor emeritus of the French Section, Modern Languages and Literatures Department. He was head of Trent's French Department from 1976 to 1979 and co-founded the exchange program with the University of Nantes, France.

In June, Prof. Royle's book, L'Homme et le néant chez Jean-Paul Sartre (Presses de l'Université Laval) was published. He also gave a lecture at the Institut Français in Kensington, London in March 2005 entitled, "Hidden Word-play in the Works of Jean-Paul Sartre." This lecture is expected to be printed in an upcoming volume on Sartre by the Scholars' Press, Cambridge.

All are welcome to the reading. Titles Book Store is located at 379 George St. in Peterborough.
