Benefit Production of Vagina Monologues to take place Feb. 12 - 14 at Durham College

All proceeds from this Trent University student production will go to Luke's Place women's shelter

Eve Ensler's award-winning play, The Vagina Monologues, will be presented by Trent University students at Durham College's Room l110 - Galleria Entrance - on February 12, 13 and 14 from 7 - 9 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person prior to the event by calling 905-721-3003 or e-mailing vdaytickets04@hotmail.com. Tickets are $12 at the door.

Trent University students at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology/Durham College are proud to be participating in the V-Day 2004 Worldwide/College Campaign. This group of Trent women's studies students, who study at Trent in Oshawa, will perform this benefit production to raise money and awareness for local organizations that work to stop violence against women and girls. Proceeds from this year's event will go to Luke's Place women's shelter.

Last year, a similar group of students presented three productions of The Vagina Monologues, raising more than $5,000 for the Bethesda House Women's Shelter, Durham Rape Crisis Centre, Ajax-Pickering Women's Shelter and the YWCA of Durham.
