Opportunities to try international fare: November 16 at Trent

Opportunities to try Japanese sushi, Indian curry, Jamaican jerk chicken, Arabic falafel and a variety of dishes from 16 different countries, will abound at the Trent International Student Association's (TISA) International Potluck, to take place at Champlain College's Great Hall November 16 at 7 p.m.

Trent's international students invite the public to join them to try authentic food from around the world. Admission is $4 for students and seniors, $5 for wage adults and $2 for children under 12-years-old. Tickets can be purchased at selected locations on campus, Titles Bookstore on George Street North and at the door, which will open at 6:30 p.m.

"We would like everyone to join us to," says Anna Boateng, TISA secretary, adding more than 80 students took part in the preparation of traditional meals at last year's event.

The TISA Choir and other international students groups will be providing entertainment.
