Corporate Knights rank Trent University Business Program second in Canada

Corporate Knights, whose aim is corporate responsibility, conducted a survey of Canadian business schools infusing social and environmental impact management into their curricula. As a result of this survey, Trent University ranked second in primarily undergraduate schools.

"We were really excited to hear that someone was ranking the ideals that we explicitly try to develop," exclaimed Assistant Professor Ray Dart. The Business Administration program at Trent University is promoting corporate social responsibility and socially aware managers. Mr. Dart was pleased with the results and hopes that the program will receive more recognition in the future.

Using this survey as well as other media, the Corporate Knights promote an understanding of business ethics. Their specific areas of interest are Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Using these criteria they looked at universities that were promoting social responsibility in their business programs. The main goal for Corporate Knights is to be the primary resource for both people and corporations for information on responsible business.
