Toronto Poet Comes to Trent

Toronto poet Catherine Jenkins will read from her work at Trent University on Wednesday, November 27, as part of the University’s Writers Reading series.

Ms. Jenkins is the author of Blood Love & Boomerangs, a collection of poetry, and Swimming in the Ocean, a novel. She has also written a screenplay entitled Pairs & Artichoke Hearts, and a book of photos and text entitled Charlie & Moon & Skye & I.
Both Blood Love & Boomerangs and Swimming in the Ocean contain illustrations by Canadian artist and Trent alumnus Spencer J. Harrison. A resident of Peterborough, and the enrollment management assistant at Trent University, Mr. Harrison will attend the reading and will be available to sign books.

"Catherine and I have known each other for years. She has collected my work and I have loved her writing style for a long time. The blend of our work is good," comments Mr. Harrison.

Ms. Jenkins will read at 8 p.m. in the Otonabee College Private Dining Room. This event is free and open to the public.
