"Uncle Sam and Us"
Lecture explores issues of nationalism & globalization

On Tuesday, October 29, University of Toronto Professor Stephen Clarkson will visit Trent to deliver a lecture called "Uncle Sam and Us: Globalization, Neoconservatism and the Canadian State."

Professor Clarkson’s talk will address themes from the book he has just published called Uncle Sam and Us (University of Toronto Press, 2002). Some of Prof. Clarkson’s other books have received prestigious awards, including the John Porter prize, a Governor General’s Award and the John Dafoe prize. Some previous titles include Trudeau and Our Times (1990) and Canada and the Reagan Challenge (1982).

Sponsored by the Trent IPE Centre, the lecture begins at 2 p.m. in the Lady Eaton College Pit. Everyone is welcome to attend.
