Franklin García-Sánchez - Full Professor

Born in Havana, Cuba, his areas of expertise include fantasy narrative in contemporary Spanish literature, as well as interdisciplinarity regarding painting and literature and cinema and literature. He is currently working on a research project about "Magical Realism in Painting, Literature and Cinema". As a literary critic, Professor García-Sánchez is the author of Tres aproximaciones a la novela histórica romántica (1993) and Estudios sobre la intertextualidad (1996). He has also published numerous articles in specialized international journals. During the last three years, Professor García-Sánchez has been working on an international project for the edition of the complete works of Spanish writer Max Aub. His contribution, the study and editing of 50 texts covering the period 1926-1971, appeared in 2002.
