        2 cassette tapes
(not to be copied unless permission is received from Curve Lake First Nation and Alderville First Nation, respectively):

        • "Curve Lake Choir, Ojibwa Hymns" received by Donald Smith, ca 1985

(This cassette, Professor Smith writes, "is a personal working copy of the hymns I used in lectures on the mid 19th century Mississauga and the Methodists about a decade ago...," and quoting from the Pratt Library, U of T, he writes: "Original recordings of the Ojibwe Indian Choir at the Curve Lake Indian Reserve are held in the Bill Montaigne fonds (reference code C 239) at the Archives of Ontario." He goes on to say that another copy is available in his own fonds located at the Pratt Library, University of Toronto (2018.02 Box 1 Ojibwe Hymns).

        • "Mission on Grape Island Celebration 14/6/87", Bruce Graham

(Professor Smith explains: "It is a cassette recording of the "Mission on Grape Island Celebration," June 14, 1987, a group of Alderville community members traveled down to Grape Island on the Bay of Quinte. The Methodist mission was there for about a decade, from the mid-1820s to mid-1830s. "Bruce Graham" is the name I have on the cassette, as the recorder."
