Biography / History

Leslie Woolcott is actively involved in women's issues. Through her research and community activism she has played a vital role in developing local knowledge and awareness around issues like racism, exclusion, and discrimination within Peterborough. Leslie was a member of the Canadian group which attended the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1985. She graduated from Trent University in 1994.

This collection was created by and in the custody of Leslie Woolcott before it was donated to Trent University Archives.

Scope and Content

This collection consists of various documents relating to women's issues in Canada and third world countries. Included are correspondence and documents relating to the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1985, and documents relating to the Kawartha World Issues Centre.
