This fonds consists of ledgers, day books and other record books, mostly unidentified as to exact name and location of the business. All were situated in the Peterborough/Cobourg/Norwood/Marmora area.

Title based on content of collection.

This collection was donated from unknown sources, except for #18, which was received from Mr. Ralfe, Port Hope.

Restrictions: Item #19 is restricted until 2035.

12. Ledger (unidentified): dry goods, hardware; customers include "Pride of Blairton Lodge No. 115", George Castle (tavern keeper, Baysfield), Cobourg, Peterborough Railway and Mining Company

13. Ledger (unidentified): haberdasher, 1904-1908

14. Daybook (unidentified): dry goods store in Norwood, customers include Dr. Poole, 1857-1859

15. Daybook (unidentified): stores seem to be in the Blairton, Norwood and Saforth areas, 1858-1891; stock usually described as 'goods' though occasionally as 'candles', 'sugar', 'brandy', 'tea', etc.
