Warehouse Facility - By Appointment for Faculty and Graduate Students

Warehouse Facility - By Appointment Monday to Friday 11:00-15:00

During the renovation period, Bata Library’s print collections of monographs, journals and curriculum materials are in an off-campus warehouse facility.    To obtain these materials, clients should place a HOLD through the library catalogue.  Items are selected, transferred and held for pick up at the campus library service point.  Users can browse the collection virtually via the catalogue using the “Nearby Items on Shelf” option.

Faculty, staff and graduate students may request an appointment to review materials in person at the facility if the services above are inadequate for research purposes.  These members may be able to borrow materials directly from the facility at the discretion of the facility staff, provided that privileges are not suspended and a valid TrentU card is presented.

The facility is southwest of Fleming College and not on the public transit system.  It is not intended for public use so there are no public work areas.   Knapsacks, briefcases, and large bags are not permitted in the warehouse but can be left in the entrance foyer.   The warehouse is accessed via eight stairs and is not wheelchair accessible.  Library staff at the facility are working with the collection, retrieving and returning materials for holds as well as identifying materials be retained for the BRIC in 2018.  Consequently, sections of the collection may be intermittently unavailable.

Appointments should be requested at least two business days in advance.  To request an appointment, send an e-mail or telephone 705-748-1011 x6429 with two preferred dates and times from Monday to Friday between 11:00 and 15:00.  A reply will be provided within two business days confirming the appointment date and time and providing contact details for the facility.
