New E-Books from University Press

Posted May 1, 2012

Trent University Library is pleased to announce the acquisition of University Press Scholarship Online (UPSO) acquired through an OCUL consortial purchase with Oxford University Press.

UPSO is a collection of over 8,000 scholarly ebooks in 23 subject areas from the following nine leading university presses:

  • Oxford University Press - 7000+ - titles

PLUS

  • Cairo University Press - 57 titles
  • Edinburgh University Press - 261 titles
  • Florida University Press - 171 titles
  • Fordham University Press - 204 titles
  • Hong Kong University Press - 118 titles
  • Kentucky University Press - 111 titles
  • The Policy Press (Bristol) - 291 titles
  • University of California Press - 411 titles

The majority of the books in the OCUL licensed UPSO collection are published between the mid 2000s to March 2012. This is a tremendous addition to our holdings, highly relevant to Trent's academic programmes, filling gaps in our monograph collection -- particulary in the humanities and social sciences.

These ebooks are currently available on the UPSO platform. They will soon be added to TOPCAT and Scholars Portal Books.
