Trent University Library & Archives continues to offer electronic collections and virtual services. As part of the University’s limited and reduced campus presence, Bata Library and the Durham GTA Campus Library & Learning Centre are closed and physical collections are unavailable. Virtual services and support are available by contacting library@trentu.ca. Check for updates regularly on our COVID-19 Alert Page.

Curbside Pickup for Faculty & Graduate Students is available starting June 23rd.

Bata Hours are Extended for December Exam Period

Bata Library offers extended hours during the December examination schedule.  We're open until 2am every night from December 6 - 18!

See hours.

For these extended hours, library users have access to the Trent computer network and study space.

  • Research assistance, Circulation/Reserves service, and group study rooms are unavailable during the extended study hours.
  • Books can be signed out with the self-checkout machine near the main door.

All library users must show a valid Trent ID in order to gain entry and remain in the library after the regular closing time. Two uniformed security personnel will be present to ensure library users feel safe and to provide assistance in the event of a medical or personal safety emergency. Library users are expected to comply with posted Library policies regarding appropriate use of the Library and to extend courtesy to other users.

Peterborough Transit provides extended bus service during this period. There will be a scheduled bus stop at Bata Libraray at 1:15 am and 2:15 am on the West Bank Route to the downtown bus terminal. Students planning to stay until closing at 2:00am are advised to consult the bus schedule daily for information about any changes to the extended service schedule.

This initiative is made possible with support and funding from the Trent Central Students Association (TCSA).
