David James Unveils his Sculpture in Bata Library

Two sculptures named Portal were unveiled on September 29th, 2012 at Trent University. These works were created and donated to Trent University by artist and Trent Alumnus David James '68.

One of the pieces, comprised of kiln cast crystal, is located on the Main Floor of Bata Library, in the new Apex area specifically designed to feature the artwork. See details.

We're delighted to have this beautiful sculpture in our Library.  The morning sunlight shining on it is magnificent.

This work is a companion piece to an 8000 pound granite sculpture located on the east bank of the Symons Campus.  See details.
