Library and Archives Open House for 50th Anniversary

Library and Archives Open House Events for Trent's 50th Anniversary

Please join us in Bata Library for an Open House on Saturday, August 9th, 2014 as part of the University-wide 50th Anniversary celebrations. Our doors will be open to the public from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. We invite everyone -- current and former students, staff,  librarians, faculty and community members -- to visit, or revisit the Bata Library.

Come by and pick up a free souvenir postcard containing information about how alumni can access Library resources.

The Trent University Archives will have a display in the Atrium of archival material relating to the 50th Anniversary. You may also visit the archives website to view an 'Early Days' collection of photographs by clicking here.

Book Fines Amnesty Day

In celebration of Trent's 50th Anniversary, the Library will be offering an amnesty on any overdue fines, applicable for any book (excluding reserves, ILL and recalled material) returned to Bata Library on Saturday, August 9th only! Remember that copy of 'Lady Chatterly's Lover' that you 'borrowed' in 1973? August 9th will be the time to bring it back -- no questions asked and no library fines will be applied! This will apply to all former and current students!

Welcome Back Reception for former Library staff and retirees

The Library invites all former library staff and retirees to an informal reception in the Bata Library Atrium from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 9th, 2014. Please drop by and say hello. You will find much that has changed, but much that has remained the same. No RSVP is required.
