New way to book group study rooms in Bata Library!

Updated on: March 26, 2014

NEW! Our procedure for booking a group study room in Bata Library has changed!

The new room booking module is now open for bookings and will accept bookings beginning April 1st!

What’s New?

Booking group study rooms in Bata Library can now be booked online through the myTrent portal! Students login through myTrent and link to Room Bookings under "Tools".

Students can now book group study rooms up to 30 days in advance!

Students may book up to 1 hour per day . (*this is a change from the current 2 hour time slots).

Coordinate with your group if you need additional time for your meeting – each student in the group can book up to 1 hour per day.

Group study rooms may be booked until library closing hours and will now be available to book during extended hours.

Group Study Room 309 is now bookable until library closing and will no longer require a key to access!

The room booking module offers information on what rooms are available and what equipment is available in each room as well as a photo.

What’s the Same?

Group study rooms are for 2 or more students working on academic work.

Only one booking per day is permitted.

There are currently 7 group study rooms available in Bata Library and 2 group study rooms in Oshawa.

Why the change?

We want to improve access and service to booking group study rooms in the library.

We want to provide a fair process so that group study rooms are available to all students.

Students can no longer book more than the allowed number of bookings per day as this new module will limit one booking per day per student.
