Submitting Reserve Material

Prior to submitting a Reserve request, instructors are advised to consult the Reserve Collection Policy.

A Reserve request form must be completed and submitted online for each item placed on Reserves.

Trent University is committed to providing inclusive and barrier free access to information; therefore, accessible formats of materials are available upon request.

Please allow at least one to two weeks at the beginning of term for processing requests, and three to five business days at other times. Requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. For multiple requests, please assist the process by including the date students will require the material.

If an item is already on Reserve for another instructor, complete a form for your own course, so the reading will also appear under your name and course in TOPCAT. If two instructors have requested different loan periods, the shorter period (i.e. three hour) is used.

Request Forms

There are three request forms for the purpose of addressing the Instructor’s material type and location requirements. The online forms are submitted electronically to the appropriate Reserves staff at Bata Library or Durham Branch.
