The Journal of Multidisciplinary Research at Trent (JMRT) is a non-profit, open-access, free to publish and anonymous peer-reviewed research journal.

JMRT was founded in 2017 at Trent University and the purpose of the journal is to showcase the research work of graduate students worldwide by publishing original research and review articles, including literature reviews, book reviews, film reviews, position papers, empirical work, experiential reflections, conference abstracts as well as original quantitative and qualitative research.

We aim to provide a multidisciplinary approach to open access publishing for the local, national, and international community. Our goal is to create an awareness for the importance of graduate research from all fields of the arts and sciences, and to create a platform for scholarly dialogue between graduate students, established professionals and other research groups.

In addition to this, JMRT is also designed as a pedagogical tool to help graduate students learn to write for research publications and get accustomed to the review and journal production process. Our open-access feature allows for accelerated discovery, public communication, and connected education.

The journal is published biennially once every two (2) years in electronic format.

The deadline for all article and abstract submissions is December 31st, 2023.

If you are interested in submitting an article or abstract, please login or register.

JMRT updates are circulated via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
