Your time at Trent as an international student will be about more than just academics. From a supportive, campus based community, to leadership opportunities in athletics, student clubs and internationally focused organizations - at Trent you'll find a strong spirit of participation and an opportunity to get involved in ways that matter to you.
As a globally focused university, many of Trent's groups have an international flair. As an international student at Trent, you automatically become part of the Trent International Students Association. TISA serves as an umbrella group for Trent's various international student organizations, like the Hispanic Organization for Latin Awareness (HOLA) and the Trent African Caribbean Student Union (TACSU). TISA organizes major cultural events at Trent like Cultural Outreach, as well as hosting speakers, films and other events. The World Affairs Colloquium draws leading international speakers to Trent in a weekly public affairs forum. The Trent Model United Nations gives you the chance to polish up your debating skills and put your international relations theory into practise.
International students at Trent are also actively involved in the wider campus community and have taken on major leadership roles, including, in recent years, President of Trent's Student Government and Editor of Trent's student newspaper, The Arthur. Whether you want to be take up fencing, join the Trent soccer team, organize an environmental lecture series, or learn to dance the salsa - Trent has a group or club for you. Trent's athletic teams - the Excalibur - compete at the highest level of sport with other Canadian universities through the Canadian Inter-University Sport league.
