Learning Innovations Grant
Grants of $4,000 each are available to assist faculty members who wish to undertake course revisions that have the potential to increase student engagement and accessibility.
Up to four applications may be approved with the intent to distribute the grants across the three divisions of Social Sciences, Humanities and Sciences as well as across all Trent campuses (Peterborough and Oshawa) based on the applications received.
The course development funds are provided courtesy of the Access Services, and are determined by the Instructional Development Centre Advisory Board.
The funding can be used to hire either undergraduate or graduate students over the summer for implementation of the teaching objectives for the academic year beginning September 2012. The student may carry out development work themselves or they may perform teaching or administrative work to provide the faculty member with time for course development. Up to 20% of the funds may be used for supplies and other associated costs.
Application Procedure
Requests to the Learning Innovations Grant should be submitted using an LIG application form. The deadline is February 27, 2012.
