  • When an OPSEU position is posted, internal applicants, defined as current regular OPSEU members, will be given first priority.  OPSEU represents Trent University’s support staff.
  • Contract employees will be considered as external applicants.
  • Internal candidates will be considered first but external candidates and contract employees are encouraged to apply to postings within the posted deadline.
  • For internal applicants a covering letter and resume must be submitted for each position being applied to.  Candidates should indicate clearly that they are a regular or recurring internal employee in their covering letter.
  • For external applicants an application form, resume and covering letter must be submitted.  Resumes are accepted for posted positions only as we do not keep a resume bank. * No External applications will be considered without an application form.

  • Positions are normally posted for 8 working days.
  • Candidates must submit their applications to the Human Resource Department before 4:30 pm of the deadline date.
