Annual Special Initiatives - $4M
Annual Special Initiatives & Library Enhancements
Trent’s generous alumni and friends support many special initiatives each year to help meet the ongoing needs of our students. For more information on the Annual Fund, visit the web site.
Student Support
Bursaries, Awards, Scholarships and student employment opportunities provide vital support and encouragement to both undergraduate and graduate students.
Library
The Bata Library is a hub of student activity on campus. Each year, donors ensure new books, online resources and archive materials are available to our students when they need them. In addition, donors continue to revitalize this signature building on campus through “green” retrofits and improvements to spaces for students and library collections.
For more information on the Bata Library and its revised strategic plan, please visit the web site.
Student Life
Many aspects of student life benefit from annual donor support. Campus safety is enhanced through donations to the Walk-Home program. Students with disabilities are able to access specialized equipment and help through contributions to Disability Services.
Special funding for college, departmental and alumni projects, the Model United Nations, the Canada Wide Science Fair and other initiatives is also made possible through alumni and friends.
Athletics and Recreation
Annual gifts to both varsity and intramural programs help promote student health, wellness and excellence. Trent is consistently recognized for its leadership in promoting student participation in athletics. The university’s outstanding athletics programs are now being complemented with investments in facilities that will benefit the entire Peterborough community. For more information please visit the Trent Community Sport and Recreation Centre Campaign web site.
Trent University Research
Trent Faculty and students are engaged in a number of cutting-edge research initiatives made possible in part by donor support. This support has helped make Trent a research leader. For more information, please visit the web site.
