Convenient, meaningful, monthly donations make a big difference!
Through our Friends Forever monthly giving program, donors are finding it more affordable to give.  Monthly contributions can be made through automatic withdrawals or credit card donations. Whatever method you find most convenient.

If you are considering a donation to Trent University and you own publicly listed securities - stocks, bonds, mutual fund units or shares - that have appreciated in value, you may want to consider transferring these directly to the University, rather than cashing them in to make a donation.

Legacy Gifts – “Connected to Things that Matter”

Making a Legacy Gift to Trent University has given many alumni, parents and friends the satisfaction of knowing that future generations will benefit from the gift of knowledge.  Having the foresight to support Trent University in this way is a concrete expression of your commitment to higher education and being connected to the things that matter to you most.

In Honour or In Memoriam Gifts

Donors may choose to make a special gift to Trent Universityto honur a loved one, honour a faculty member or recognize a community member. Such a gift may be undesignated (general university) or for a specific purpose (i.e. for a named scholarship or bursary, a college, for the library book fund, etc.) A charitable tax receipt will be issued for all donations.

Memorial gifts are also possible whereby a donor desires to make a one-time special gift as a permanent memorial to a loved one or friend.

Faculty & Staff Giving

Gifts-in-Kind

Trent University has benefited from the generosity of individuals and corporations who have donated gifts-in-kind such as paintings, office space and scientific equipment, rare books, etc. Depending on the gift and its usefulness to the university, Trent issues charitable tax receipts for gifts-in-kind based on their fair market value.
