M.A., University of Canterbury
Ph.D., McGill University

Research and Teaching Interests:

Colin Taylor's teaching has covered a wide range of courses in physical geography, including introductory physical geography, fluvial geomorphology and hydrology. He has also taught the field course and the fourth year course on research in physical geography and has also supervised student theses at both the honours and graduate levels.

Prof. Taylor's research interests have been mainly in runoff hydrology in wetlands, forests, rural and urban settings. Most recently, mainly because of his involvement in academic administration (as Dean of Arts and Science) and the recent establishment of a School of Education at Trent, Colin has been studying the relationship between teacher education and the liberal arts and sciences.
