Trent Specific Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, and in some cases extra-curricular or community involvement. When you receive a scholarship, you are receiving free money that can go directly towards your student fees. The best part is that you never have to worry about paying that money back! For further information regarding scholarships for Canadian students, please see the View book .
Scholarships for Home-schooled students
Only students who have objective, third party grades, will be offered entrance scholarships.
Students who are home schooled until grade 11 and then take grade 12 courses at a Canadian high school will be considered as Canadian High School students. Credits may be gained by attending a Canadian high school or by correspondence, night school, etc.
Non-Canadian High School students may qualify for scholarship based on SAT scores. This group will not be extended special offers, such as the full tuition scholarship, but will be eligible to receive the standard value scholarships.
Trent's In-Course Scholarships
Students who did not receive an entrance or renewable scholarship upon admission to the university are automatically considered for an in-course scholarship at the end of each academic year. Unless specifically noted, these scholarships do not require an application.
Students who have received an 85%-89% average in a total of five Trent University credits in an academic year are eligible for an in-course scholarship of $1000; students with an average of 90% and above are eligible for a scholarship of $2000.
Nursing students are eligible for an additional $1,000 if they achieve an average of 85%-89% in 5 Trent University credits in an academic year, or an additional $2,000 for an average of 90% or above.
