47 Glencairn Ave
Thursday [29 Oct. 1953]

Dear Bill and Sal:

Here are two complimentary tickets for the Campbell lecture on Wed. Nov 4, 8:30. They have asked me to be chairman.

If you can't use them pass them on to any other pair.

Campbell is, in my opinion, one of the greatest poets in the English Speaking World.

I might add here that the 'Towards the Last Spike' was (in part) produced at the Edinburgh Festival some time ago.

aff.
Ned.

Campbell lecture
Largely through the efforts of John Sutherland, Roy Campbell was making a limited lecture-recital tour in Canada. See the letter to Claire Pratt, 5 November 1953.
