Wednesday am. [Mar. 1953]

Dearest Cayke:

I am enclosing a cheque for 23.95 being the amount of the annuity from the Sun Life Policy of $2000 which recently matured. It comes every quarter for life – nearly one hundred dollars annually. Enter the facts in your ledger.

The policy number is 2419561.

Due July 15, Oct. 15, Jan. 15, April 15.

Amount 23.95.

Next month the Great West Life Annuity is due which comes once a year. The annuity is approximately $90.00.

I am enclosing Walter Brown's nice letter. I have underlined his reference to the manuscript purchase. That ought to be fixed by the middle of October and your first payment of $75.00 quarterly should come about Christmas.

Love,
Father

For years there had been an understanding that Victoria College would purchase Pratt's papers on his retirement. See the letter to Charles Abbott, 28 January 1945.
