Dear President Gushue:
This is a hurried note by airmail to let you know that the University of Toronto has secured for me T.C.A. transportation both ways and [is] 'paying the shot' so that will ease 'Memorial' purse strings. You advised me that you would be making provision from St. John's. You may now cancel the reservations and save the expense.
I have moved my date of departure from Toronto by two days to provide against weather delays, etc. I shall leave on Saturday, Oct.4th at 9:10 p.m. I had intended leaving on Monday, the 6th but that leaves too short a gap.
I received your letter of programme details, for which my thanks.
